The Ambassador Program
The ambassador program provides valuable work experience and the opportunity
to acquire practical skill sets that will enhance the participants workplace desirability in a fun
interactive environment, as they learn to work independently under the supervision of a small
impactful group of motivated and inspirational community mentors.
ABOUT THE AMBASSADOR PROGRAM
Involvement is open to all students from the age of 14 years old and any adult Santa Ana residents of ANY age to encourage senior citizen involvement.

- City ambassadors are non-paid volunteers selected after a process of participation in different events with a minimum timeline of 3 months conducting in the highest professional manner and courteous interactions.
- Applicant can choose which way they want to get involved.
- Ambassadors will be assigned tasks based on their area of interest within the scope of the program.
- Recognized by uniform (bright yellow shirts with Calle Cuatro DTSA logo on the front and “Somos Communidad” Slogan on the back).

Ambassador Responsibilities:
* Attend mandatory meetings 2nd and 4th Monday of the month- 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Ambassador Program Orientation for new participants
- Promote Civic engagement through City activities
- Knowledgeable of city relevant locations and current events
- Volunteer in SABC events
- Work closely with organizers to ensure event success
- Performs additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of event coordinator
- Review event programs, located assignments and person to report
- Handles overbook areas
- Follow VIP standards
- Cash handling and balancing * (special event requirements)
- Assist visitors with recommendations (maintain knowledge of city relevant locations)
- Provide information (Business directory and current events)
- Assist with disseminating city information to visitors
- Work with visitor group (handout materials)
- Escort visitors upon request and availability
- Follow safety and security protocols
- Assist guest with reports of lost/stolen items
- Adhere city requirements in case of accidents or injuries or emergency situations
- Assist with code enforcement, follow city policies and procedures
- Work with the Santa Ana police department to locate lost items
- Check-in/check-out process

Ambassador Program Orientation for new participants
- Orientations every 1st and 3rd Friday of the Month from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
- Ensures the mission of the organization and the main goals are clearly communicated
- Provides information on duties and responsibilities
- Disseminate information for upcoming events and selected businesses
- Collect applicant information on availabilities and skills
- Includes appropriate training before events or as needed
