Our Community
Cindy Resendiz“I am immensely grateful for our beloved community dance events in Santa Ana. This initiative has profoundly impacted my mental health and well-being. These events have always felt like a homecoming. The community connections, laughter, and joy of dancing with friends are irreplaceable. The venue’s safety and pleasant environment make it a sanctuary where I can unwind and feel at peace. A significant benefit is the improvement in my mental health. These gatherings have alleviated feelings of isolation and depression. Dancing is a powerful tool for mental wellness, bringing happiness, reducing stress, and fostering a sense of belonging. The opportunity to connect with others and support each other has been invaluable. These dance events align perfectly with my passion for community service and mental health advocacy. Thank you for this transformative program. Your support will help us all heal, grow, and thrive together.” |
Marco Mui"Dancing in the Streets has transformed my life in ways I never imagined. Three years ago, back in August 2021, I attended my first salsa event at Calle Cuatro. It was there in that vibrant alleyway that I was introduced to the exhilarating world of salsa and bachata. From that moment, I was hooked. This event was the spark that ignited my passion for dance, which now constitutes about 90% of my social life. I find myself dancing socially four to five times a week, and it's all thanks to the welcoming and energetic community that Dancing in the Streets fosters.

Saharat Nilaad“My journey began in December 2021 when I met my girlfriend at one of your events. Despite living in Riverside, I regularly attend these events, especially on the first Saturday of each month. I often bring friends from UC Riverside, as this program offers a vibrant, safe, alcohol-free environment for social dancing, which is particularly valuable for younger students.
